Its more like Link is reincarnated as another person within each game, so in actuality hes a differant person in every game yet his Core"Soul" Is Link as hes forced into events beyond his control and must overcome obstacles beyond measure, Usually maturing as the game plays out and the player advances into the story progression. By the end of the story the main protagonist has become Legendary.
